Comparing Postoperative Analgesia of Caudal and Penile Blockade using Bupivacaine in Children Undergoing Hypospadias Repair

Background & Objectives: Caudal epidural and dorsal nerve penile blockade are commonly used for analgesia during after hypospadias repair in children. Comparative studies to recommend the most effective block dearth. This study aims compare versus caudal with bupivacaine children terms of post-operative effectiveness, pain management, complications. Methodology: The was conducted on 60 male children, aged 1-9 years, undergoing surgery under general anesthesia. subjects were randomly divided into two groups: (A: block, n=30, B: n=30). A postoperative assessment using FLACC scale until 24 hours post-surgery. Results: patients from B groups comparable age, weight, ASA classification. All 2 did not feel post-operatively throughout first 6 hours. One patient (3.4%) each started hours, 9 respectively surgery. Eight (26.7%) group (20%) felt Four 1 developed nausea vomiting Conclusion: proved be more lowering scores, fewer side effects, thereby decreasing need rescue analgesia.
